Ramon Allones Specially Select

While the Cuban Ramon Allones brand is considered among the oldest with its roots dating back the 1830's, the Robusto size in their portfolio has only existed since 1975. This is the Specially Selected which, while never reaching the popularity of a similar vitola like Partagas' D No.4, has been a smash hit with experienced Cuban cigar enthusiasts. This enthusiasm was expressed more publicly in 2015 when Cigar Aficionado magazine bestowed the Selected with a 96 rating and voted it the second-best cigar of the year.

Much like the similarly underrated Bolivar brand, an Allones cigar can pack a punch with medium to full-bodied strength and a heavier flavour profile. The Ramon Allones Specially Selected is known to impart a fair bit of leather and spice, but also has a softer side with some floral and citrus notes. This Robusto smokes for a satisfying 60 minutes.
