Humidification Control
Humidity control for cigars is essential to maintain their flavor, burn quality, and overall preservation. Cigars are best stored at a relative humidity (RH) of around 65-72% to keep them from drying out or becoming overly moist. This is typically managed using a humidor, a specially designed box with a built-in humidification system that regulates moisture levels. Humidors often use materials like Spanish cedar, which helps stabilize humidity. Some also include digital or analog hygrometers to monitor RH levels accurately. Proper humidity control ensures cigars age well and provide an optimal smoking experience by preserving their oils, flavors, and structure.
