The year 2014 saw the beginning of the Dominion cigar brand, uniquely created in British Columbia by a Canadian entrepreneur. The inaugural series was dubbed the Black Lotus which, within a year, became a top twenty seller in over half the Canadian tobacconists that carry the cigar.
Dominion has introduced other impressive series' since, including the milder Flor de Claro and the unique The Barber, which intertwines both Connecticut Shade and Maduro into a barber shop pole design with the wrapper leaf. These and other Dominion cigars are produced at the esteemed Plasencia factory, which crafts popular brands like Alec Bradley and Rocky Patel in addition to the Plasencia brand itself.
