A brand long known for slender cigar offerings like the Panetelas and the Montecarlos, Por Larranaga has recently reinvented itself, first with the Robusto-sized Picadores No.1 in 2014 and then with the fifty-two gauge Galanes in 2020. The No.1 is not to be mistaken for the original, slimmer Picadores, which existed within the Por Larranaga brand in pre-revolution Cuba before being discontinued in the 1970's. The Picadores No.1 is a solid medium-bodied smoke, rife with cedarwood and earthy notes coupled with a pleasant cocoa sweetness.
