In an industry where there are existing cigar brands celebrating their 200th anniversary, Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co. is a relative newborn. Oscar Valladares began his cigar career working for Rocky Patel, serving there for nine years, before founding his own company in Danli, Honduras in 2012.
In 2013 the company debuted their Leaf By Oscar series, which very quickly became a big success in the United States. What sets Leaf by Oscar cigars apart, beyond the fact that it's a rare Honduran Puro, is the unique and attractive visual appeal of each cigar being wrapped in a tobacco leaf instead of traditional cellophane. When you peel the leaf off and get to the cigar, you get a melange of mellow to medium-bodied flavours of light cedarwood, baking spices, caramel, and toasted almonds.
The Leaf By Oscar Connecticut Robusto offers a burn time of roughly 60 minutes.
