A unique blend for those accustomed to standard ready-rubbed or flake blends, Mac Baren's Dark Twist features "coins" of tobacco of two different types: 100% Virginia leaf, and Virginia-wrapped coins with Dark-Fired Kentucky inlay. The former makes up two-thirds of the blend, while the Kentucky-centred coins make up the final third. This results in a complex mixture of Virginia sweetness with the light sour and smoky flavour from the Dark Fired Kentucky. Only water and maple sugar are added later, contributing to a natural, unadulterated taste.
