Hoyo De Monterrey Double Corona
The Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona is the best-known Cuban cigar within its rather grandiose size and has long been considered a classic vitola from that country. Its reputation was further enhanced when, in 1992, Cigar Aficionado magazine gave a Hoyo Double Corona a staggering 99 rating and called it "perhaps Cuba's greatest cigar" and "a benchmark for the cigar world."
These days, a Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona can be hard to track down, but if you can do so you're rewarded with a great medium-bodied two-hour smoke that imparts delectable soft flavours like cinnamon, almonds and honey with floral overtones.
