In 1968, the humble beginnings of the C.A.O. brand were initiated, when founder Cano Ozgener began refurbishing pipes in the basement of his house in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1998, C.A.O. celebrated the 30th anniversary of the brand by releasing a series that still stands among their most popular - the 1968 Anniversary Maduro.
The Anniversary Maduro sports a gorgeous dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper that undergoes a three month fermentation period in extreme heat until it becomes rich and dark with an even burn and razor-thin carbon ring. Once finished, it covers an Ecuadorian binder and a blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos, resulting in an exceptional smoke with a luxurious finish.
The Anniversary Maduro Robusto is a medium to full-bodied smoke with a 60 minute burn time that offers distinct flavours of dark chocolate and black pepper.
