By 2016, Azan had already established itself as one of the best value brands on the market, producing gorgeous reddish-brown Cuban-seed Corojo-wrapped cigars that were all 100% hand-rolled. In 2016, the brand expanded further, with their Blue series which offered a Connecticut wrapper for a milder smoking experience.
With the Azan Blue, Connecticut seeds are grown at the company's Fincas Azan S.A. tobacco farm in Ecuador. Each cigar is then hand-rolled by Azan's master rollers at their Nicatabaco, S.A. factory located in Estelí, Nicaragua. Unlike the Azan Burgundy - which imparts stronger flavours of leather and spice - the Blue coats the palate with softer flavours like cedarwood and a subtle creamy sweetness.
The Azan Blue Connecticut Toro offers a burn time of roughly 75 minutes.
