There is much attention paid in the cigar world to the full and complex flavours of wrapper leaf from Connecticut and San Andrés in Mexico, but not so much towards Trojés, Honduras. This is the region of origin for the wrapper on the acclaimed and popular Alec Bradley Prensado cigars, and on vitolas in the Tempus series as well.
Trojés yields a very bold and flavourful leaf, and it has become one of Alec Bradley's most prized contributions to the industry. It has been used on Tempus cigars since the mid-2000's, and contributed mightily to the Tempus Centuria being voted the 5th best cigar of the year by Cigar Aficionado in 2017.
With the Tempus Natural Terra Novo, expect a spicy, peppery and earthy smoke that will last for a good 60 minutes.
