Long time City Cigar patrons know the name Hamlet Paredes, the Master Roller from Cuba who at one time travelled the world rolling fresh Cuban cigars in retail stores like ours. In the mid-2010's, Hamlet defected from Cuba and ended up in Florida, where he began collaborating with Rocky Patel.
The Hamlet 2020 was one of several series' bearing his name, subsequent to his inaugural blend Tabaquero Hamlet Paredes. As was his custom, he made the Hamlet 2020 a bold medium to full-bodied blend with a lot of spice melded into a lighter sweetness and woody notes. As of 2022, Hamlet Paredes is no longer with Rocky Patel, meaning that this vitola - as well as other Hamlet series' - may prove hard to find in the coming years.
The Hamlet 2020 Robusto offers a burn time upwards of 60 minutes.
