La Flor Dominicana Salomon Unico

One of the great delights of the La Flor Dominicana brand is their willingness to take risks and experiment with blends and sizes that may not be to popular taste of the time. Some of their experiments include diminutive shade-wrapper cigars with surprisingly full-bodied strength; cigars using 100% Candela (green) wrapper leaf; and a limited edition made strictly for the Canadian market with a small maple leaf made of Maduro tobacco stitched into the centre.

Nothing embodies this experimental, creative spirit more than LFD's Salomon Unico. These cigars showcase the tremendous skill and artistic talents of Dominican rollers, as each cigar uses multiple types of wrapper leaf to create various designs that may inspire you to frame it rather than smoke it. There are over 100 unique designs, ranging from Halloween-themed images like ghosts and spiders to rocket ships, dinosaurs, and even classic architecture. These are crafted with a wide variety of wrapper leaf that includes claro, colorado, maduro, and even candela.

Similar to the Ligero Salomon which provides the Unico with its general framework, the Unico is a massive cigar with full strength and bold flavours. Although the flavour profile of each depends on the type of wrapper used, the ligero filler imparts a lot of spice and earthiness on the palate. With the Salomon Unico, the smoker can expect a burn time of well over two hours.
