When it comes to the smoking end - or head - of a cigar, all seasoned smokers are familiar with Parejo (round head) and Figurado (pointed head). Not everyone is familiar with the third option, the Chisel head, likely because it's the invention of La Flor Dominicana founder Litto Gomez, and utilized exclusively on LFD cigars.
Besides it being a stylistic stamp on some LFD cigars, the Chisel end is meant to deliver a concentration of flavour through this tight, flattened shape. This appears to be effective, as LFD Chisel cigars have received some great feedback, including a number 12 spot for the Cameroon Chisel in Cigar Aficionado magazine's annual Top 25 cigars list of 2012.
Cameroon wrappers are relatively rare, and tend to impart a unique sweet and sour flavour in a smoke. The wrapper on the Cameroon Chisel is dark, oily, and aged, which only serves to enhance these flavours, and the filler blend adds some distinct nutty and spicy notes as well. This large Toro offers up a robust smoking experience with a burn time upwards of 90 minutes.
