With its inception being traced back to the early 1970's, Don Tomás is a relatively old and seasoned player in the Honduran cigar space. Always considered a quality cigar at an affordable price, in 2005 Tomás re-tooled the blend of their signature Clasico series to provide even better bang for the buck.
The Clasico Maduro tweaks the original Clasico blend somewhat, replacing the Honduran wrapper with a Connecticut Broadleaf maduro leaf and adding a Connecticut maduro binder to make a rare double maduro blend. This, in combination with the Dominican and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, results in a leathery and woody smoke with some strong notes of dark chocolate.
The Clasico Maduro Rothschild offers medium-bodied strength and smokes for approximately 45 minutes.
