Translated to English, "Liga Privada" means "private blend." This name is fitting because the cigar was initially created for the personal humidors of Drew Estate founders, not for commercial sale. Among numerous intricate blends, the No. 9 achieved the perfect balance of flavour and character.
Each Liga Privada cigar incorporates seven different tobaccos sourced from seven distinct vegas. The wrapper undergoes meticulous hand fermentation for over 18 months. To ensure stringent quality control, production is limited to a maximum of 1000 cigars per day, and all No.9 cigars are aged for a full year before being made available for sale.
Each Liga Privada No.9 features a dark Connecticut Broadleaf Oscuro wrapper, a Brazilian Mata Fina binder, and select Honduran and Nicaraguan Cuban Seed filler tobaccos. The result is a rich medium to full-bodied blend flush with earthy and espresso-like flavours.
The No.9 Robusto offers a burn time of roughly 75 minutes.
