Drew Estate could never be accused of being boring, given the appetite for experimentation they've displayed since their inception in 1996.
Among their bolder experiments is the Acid series. Flavoured - or infused - cigars have typically been associated with cheap, machine-made "gas station" cigarillos, a reputation that Drew Estate wanted to turn on its head. With Acid, the cigars undergo a unique curing process in cuarto aromaticos (aroma rooms) where tobaccos are aged for months. These rooms are lined with over 150 essential herbs, oils, and botanicals, imparting a refined and nuanced sweetness uncommon in flavoured cigars. All of this tobacco is then hand-rolled into cigars in a Nicaraguan factory.
The Kuba Kuba Maduro is a medium-bodied cigar in a thick Robusto size with an earthy Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper. The expected smoking time for this vitola is slightly over one hour.
