With its inception being traced back to the early 1970's, Don Tomás is a relatively old and seasoned player in the Honduran cigar space. As an established 'budget' brand, Tomás doesn't stray too far from their tradition, which made the release of their Nicaraguan series a bit of a surprise.
Whereas most Don Tomás vitolas are made in a factory in Danli, Honduras, this blend is produced in Esteli, the cigar capital of Nicaragua. Its use of a potent Jalapa wrapper stirs up the flavour profile of the traditional Tomás blends, resulting in more obvious leather notes combined with nut and cedar wood.
The medium to full-bodied Nicaragua Robusto offers up a burn time of approximately 75 minutes.
