When it comes to the smoking end - or head - of a cigar, all seasoned smokers are familiar with Parejo (round head) and Figurado (pointed head). Not everyone is familiar with the third option, the Chisel head, likely because it's the invention of La Flor Dominicana founder Litto Gomez, and utilized exclusively on LFD cigars. Besides it being a stylistic stamp on some LFD cigars, the Chisel end is meant to deliver a concentration of flavour through this tight, flattened shape.
With the Double Ligero Chisel Natural, La Flor Dominicana has melded this funky shape with a ligero-heavy filler blend wrapped in a sun grown Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf. The result is a strong and savoury smoke, serving up spicy, leathery and peppery flavours with some lighter cedarwood notes. The Chisel Natural is a thick Toro that burns for nearly 90 minutes.
