Antaño in Spanish means "yesteryear," a term that perfectly captures the essence of the Joya de Nicaragua Antaño. The Antaño series pays tribute to the strength and spirit of "The True Nicaraguan Puro" that made Joya de Nicaragua highly coveted in the United States during the 1970s, following the post-Cuban embargo.
The Antaño series utilizes Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper leaf as well as a Nicaraguan binder and long-filler tobaccos. The filler is heavy on ligero leaf, making the Antaño a very full-bodied smoke loaded with spicy flavour.
The Antaño Gran Consul is a variation on a Gordito size, and smokes upwards of 60 minutes.
