Once here, it made an impression rather quickly, including the 16th spot for the \u003cem\u003e1901 Robusto\u003c\/em\u003e on \u003cem\u003eCigar Aficionado\u003c\/em\u003e magazine's top 25 list of 2016. It was hailed as a near-perfect melding of Nicaraguan and Mexican tobaccos, including the Turrent family's famed \u003cem\u003eSan Andrés \u003c\/em\u003eleaf for the wrapper.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUnsurprising for a cigar with a \u003cem\u003eSan Andrés Maduro\u003c\/em\u003e wrapper, the \u003cem\u003e1901 Gran Robusto\u003c\/em\u003e contains a lot of earthy, leathery and cocoa notes, but it's not uncommon for black cherry and other dried fruit notes to pop up as well.
